Buying a CPU can be a tough task if you do not know how to go about it or have a tech experience. The video explains in detail how to purchase a video. I learn that it is always good to have a budget and to make a right depending on the performance per dollar spend but buying a CPU, you must consider the hardware that will carry the CPU. That is price of the CPU, and the hardware should be considered to know the value of the CPU. Buy the CPU and its accompanying hardware brand new without looking at the used market due to the availability and pricing and the CPU cost should not be more than 50% of the budget for the system. Purchasing a CPU should depend on the purpose of the system that is gaming, workstation and allrounder. Since I am not a gamer, I will focus on a $1000 workstation, because of availability and performance, the Core i7 8700k and Ryzen 7 2700x will fit well for my budget since GPU, memory, motherboard, storage and cooler should be considered in the budget.  I find it fascinating how Microsoft started and they have improved their product since they started in 1981. They started with an  operating system called MSdos for IBM new personal computers which was efficient for the time, but the average computer user wanted something more accessible. So Microsoft used an internal product called Microsoft Interface Manager to put a graphical face on dos. In 1985, They came out with first version of windows called Windows 1.01 which was pretty revolutionary with features that is loved until this day like drop down menu, scrollbar, icons, dialogue box and a mouse(people practice their mousing skills with the game called Riversi) . In 1987, Windows 2.03 arrived with better graphics and one year later Microsoft became and stayed the largest PC software maker. In the early 90's Microsoft sold millions of copies of Windows 3.01 and 3.1, they hit an all time in 1995 with Windows.95 and sold 7 million copies in the first five weeks. Windows.XP ca...

Week 1 Post

Hello! I grew up in a small town in Cameroon, Africa. I started working with computers when I was 15. I fell in love with it and decided to take computer classes during high school. My interest in computer studies led me to study telecommunications at National Polytechnic Bambui in Cameroon where I got my Associates degree. I relocated to Moscow Russia in 2011 to attend university for my BA in computer science. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, my plans for this fell through. In 2013 I moved to the United States and have been living in northern Minnesota with my family. In the US, I started coaching soccer and started working my accreditation to become a professional soccer coach. However, I still had a passion for computer studies and I decided to do System Admin training while also coaching high school soccer.  I graduated from Trinitech Global Consulting where I learned about being a system admin. I gained hands on experience with user man...
